Hi, I’m Christy Munro, a Level 7 Registered Massage Therapist with Massage Aotearoa New Zealand. I graduated in 2009 with a 3000-hour Diploma from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Canada, where I achieved excellence on my provincial board exams. Since then, I’ve worked in both multi-disciplinary clinics and on my own, and I feel lucky to be part of a profession I care deeply about.

I’m now based in NextStep New Zealand in Hamilton, where I offer remedial massage therapy that’s tailored to each individual. I work with a wide range of people—from athletes to tradespeople to office professionals—and I always aim to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that supports your goals.

I take a collaborative approach to treatment, which means listening carefully, working with you to create a clear plan, and offering homecare strategies that support progress between sessions. I will also work with other members of your health care team to make sure that we are all working cohesively towards your goals.

Areas I’m especially passionate about include neurological conditions, cancer care, women’s health, post-cesarean recovery, breast health/post-mastectomy care, and chronic pain.
